Sonora Winds is Tucson’s community wind ensemble and we are proud to present our final local concert of our season. We will feature a clarinet concerto performed by Sonora Winds founder and Green Valley Concert Band music director, Dr. John Snavely (playing the Crossover Concerto by clarinetist John Denman, played in memorium of Paula Fan) and audience favorites, including marches; an Irish jig; a tango; and selections from Pirates of the Caribbean, Carousel, West Side Story, Gershwin, and Elvis Presley. Sonora Winds is excited to share this fun-filled afternoon of band music with our friends and music lovers in the Green Valley area.
We recognize that health is of critical importance to our audience and our musicians. Masks and social distancing are strongly encouraged at all of our concerts.
As a 501(c)3, our organization strives to provide high quality wind ensemble concerts within our community that are free and open to the public.
To help fund our venue rentals, rehearsal spaces, and music purchases, donations are greatly appreciated and can be given at our concerts.
